SNS/TCPaccess, coupled with an Interlink Network Controller, allows bothIBM and TCP.IP users to log in to remote systems, transfer files betweenthe IBM mainframe and hosts in a TCP/IP network, transfer print filesfrom TCP/IP hosts to the IBM mainframe for printing, and send and receiveelectronic mail. It also makes it possible for SNA users to log in toremote TCP/IP hosts, and for users of the remote TCP/IP hosts to accessSNA application programs located on any host in the SNA network.SNS/TCPaccess is compatible with popular external security systems suchas RACF, ACF2, and TOP SECRET. SNS/TCPaccess uses the Systems ManagementFacility (SMF) to record network statistics, and provides interfaces forboth Time Sharing Option (TSO), and Virtual Telecommunications AccessMethod (VTAM) users.
